partition layout on ssd + raid0/5

Hi everyone,

I found several general hints on the wiki/forum on partitions and/or ssd's in general, but maybe you have some thoughts to share on this one:

I used black friday and shopped for a 60gb ssd and have 3x 500gb to put in raid 0 or 5 (I think spacewise I am fine with raid 5)

So, how would you set it up for a fast, reliable system?

/boot, / on ssd and /home on raid, but where to put /var?
with reiserfs on ssd?
or reiserfs and raid? or something else and on ssd?
Does it make sense to even put home on the ssd for settings to be loaded quicker?

I have 4gig ram and don't need to hibernate, so I may skip swap entirely. It's also an arch only system. Who needs anything else anyway? ;-)

Thanks for any input!
