Detecting if my case is open

I'd like to be able to detect if my case is opened. I've attached the header to the appropriate motherboard header.
From what I gather I should be able to poll /proc/apci/button/<switchname> for the switch changing state. I only have /proc/acpi/button/power, does that mean linux doesn't support that case open switch of my BIOS or am I doing something wrong?

Re: Detecting if my case is open

I found this article that looks interesting to help you understand what's going on : http://linuxgazette.net/106/pramode.html.

Sorry I can not help any further for now as I don't have my linux box at hand.

Good luck!
