Awesome & Shifty

Good Evening...

I was just wanting to check with you Awesome WM gurus about shifty and awesome.  I'm running a fully
upgraded Arch install.  Latest Awesome and shifty-git.   I followed the instructions to the T on awesomes wiki.  I've
got it all working fine it seems except tag renaming.  I can create a new one but I cannot get it to trigger a rename
at all.  It's crazy...

I can post configs, but it's pretty much copied out of the wiki.  Any help it appreciated.

I did some digging through the forums some more and I think this may be a solution but I am not entirely sure how to apply this "patch"
