[Solved]E17 and animated backgrounds

Hey guys!

I have installed e17 on my netbook. Despite some bugs due to to its development nature, it is freakin fast! It's perfect for a netbook.
Now, I wanted to set up an animated background and so I downloaded a bunch of .edj animated backgrounds, but, unfortunately, when I try to import the from Configuration --> background (I am translating cause I have the italian version), it says to me that e17 could not import the background. Same result if I directly put them into the e17 background folder.

I also posted on their forum, but the site seems kind of dead, as their docs as well.

Any help?

I know that a lot of older themes don't work with the latest versions of e17 so maybe the animated wallpapers don't either.  When I tried them a few years ago on my desktop I found them to be quite CPU heavy so I would think they may be a bit too much for a netbook anyway

Yeah I also thought about this, cause I actually got an animated wallpaper to work, bu, being only 1 on 10, I just thought it could have been some kind of a "coincidence" or configuration issue. Thanks!
Anyway, you think their forum is dead? There are some posts dating back to last October, but that's so creepy: it doesn't seem to be anyone out there!

hmm actually I just downloaded this one and put it in ~/.e/e/backgrounds/ and it worked perfectly on my aspire one.

I'm using e-svn in [community] if it makes a difference.  IDK about their forum looks fairly dead to me

Man! It works! But that's in the theme section, isn't it?! And also I saw I already had one of the same type, but I had downloaded it from an only backgrounds section! Bah... That's so strange!

You're welcome and glad you solved it.  In fact I tried some others also and it was kind of hit or miss as to whether they work or not.  I guess that's the state of the changing theme situation.
