I just noticed that go-openoffice has been completely removed from extra.
What happened?

Libreoffice replaces go-openoffice.

Correct. go-openoffice is no longer developed.

Ok, so we just "pacman -S libreoffice" and replace "go-openoffice" that way?

Yes, the first 10 times I read "libreoffice" I would always say "lib-reoffice" as opposed to "libre-office" thinking it was a library.

Thanks everyone for clarifying this issue, but I still have one more question. Is LibreOffice following the same philosophy as Go-OpenOffice did, in terms of performance improvements and addition of extra features, while keeping fully compatible with the main OpenOffice branch?
Best regards!

Why wasn't the go-openoffice package replaced by libreoffice or openoffice? I only noticed due to this thread that I still had go-openoffice that isn't updated any more.
