$ gksu gparted
Failed to obtain xauth key: xauth binary not found at usual locations
$ pacman -Ss xauth
extra/xorg-xauth 1.0.4-1
X.Org authorization settings program
$ sudo pacman -S xauth
Now everything works... why didn't pacman tell me that I needed xauth when I install gksu?

xorg-xauth is a dependency of xorg-xinit which is in the xorg group. Maybe they never thought someone would install Xorg another way.
