AwesomeWM: Hide Cursor when Typing

If I recall correctly, a while ago awesome hid the cursor when I was typing in a terminal.

Is there a way to enable this behaviour again?

I have no idea about built-in functionality in Awesome, but you could always use unclutter

Re: AwesomeWM: Hide Cursor when Typing

Yes, unclutter looks like the thing I have been searching for.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with the -keystroke option in Awesome.

The manpage says

The most feasible solution is to extend unclutter to use the XTest extension to get all keyboard and mouse events, though this of course requires XTest to  be  in the server too.

How could I do this?

Re: AwesomeWM: Hide Cursor when Typing

unclutter -keystroke

unclutter works with -keystroke, at least partially.

In some applications it works out of the box, like xterm and gvim, in urxvt I found something of a workaround by adding

URxvt*pointerBlank: true

to my ~/.Xdefaults.

Is there a way to get it working in all applications?
