I noticed that fsck'ing my /home takes an insanely long time. It is currently using ext3, and I was thinking about converting it to ext4.
What I am wondering is if the ext4 data loss problems are still as big of an issue. I use it for /, but I don't want an increased chance of data loss in /home. I'm also wondering if fsck'ing is any faster with ext4.
Thanks.

fsck'ing ext4 is very very very fast and you are advised to backup all important data - no matter what filesystem you use.
