lxde - keys not repeating when held down

When I hold down a key in lxde, it isn't repeated.  How can one adjust this?
Example, press and hold backspace.
Result, only one backspace is returned.

Re: lxde - keys not repeating when held down

Does it happen outside of LXDE as well?

It can be set with xset.  All you need to do is put the appropriate xset command into your startup scripts.   I don't use LXDE, but if you set it inside the session and then save the session that may work too, I don't know though.

The command for setting your auto-repeat rate would be:

xset r <off|on|rate>

xset has alot of features that is detailed if you just type xset in a term window.
