Hi,
I have been using arch linux for awhile now on two different machines, and I noticed today on one of them that the reported disk usage by conky was wrong. Now upon further inspection I found out that my home partition was only using approx. 4 gigabytes of data for user files, however another 3 gigabytes were being used for inodes. Just curious but is that natural? Normal? Is there any way to reduce the ratio of space? Will the inodes continue to grow as I fill the 50 gigabyte partition? I have googled and searched the forum for something that would clarify this for me, however if I missed something I would kindly accept a helping hand (even if it is only in directions to somewhere else.)

Thank you foutrelis, that link was helpful. I understand what is going on now with the reserved space.
Much obliged.
