Few issues using Arch

It's my first post and first contact with Arch Linux so I want to say hello to everyone!

So, I've got three issues with my Arch. First issue is Network service takes about 3 minutes to start. Every service starts in less than second but only Network takes very long time to initalize. Question is How can I speed up initalization of Network service? Second problem is in my KDE- networkmanager applet is not showing any network devices. To connect to network I must use terminal(I'm using wifi connection), on the other hand GNOME network manager is not starting up because:

Another instance of nm-applet is already running

** (nm-applet:2078): WARNING **: <WARN>  constructor(): Couldn't initialize the D-Bus manager.

D-bus service is running and my  user is in dbus group. Last issue- I can't run desktop effects in KDE. It says that another application has suspended desktop effects. My machine is MSI netbook with Atom CPU and GMA 950 graphics

Re: Few issues using Arch

Try putting a @ in front of network in daemons in /etc/rc.conf

@network

See if that helps

Network should be disabled in rc.conf when using a networkmanager.

rzepaczyk, how come you mention 2 different networkmanagers? You say that both are not working, so how do you actually connect your wireless? What are you entering in the terminal, and which step is taking the 3 minutes to complete?

Re: Few issues using Arch

Do you have the correct driver for your card ? Some cards aren't fully supported either and have no compositing or 3D.

Can you activate compositing manually ? Press ALT+SHIFT+F12 when you don't want to go to system settings every time.
When compositing works manually you can check "Disable functionality checks", it's in system settings > desktop effects > advanced.

Re: Few issues using Arch

I have correct driver installed. My graphic card is supported, on Xredner composite is working but on not on OpenGL. I prefer OpenGL because it worked better on my GMA950.
