Slim : Failed to execute login command.

Hi all , i'm an Arch newbie here .. Tried to install Slim to log into Xfce desktop.. but i get the "Failed to execute login command" message..
I've checked slim.log file...
The only suspicious parts of it is :

/usr/bin/xauth : file /root/.Xauthority does not exist.

/bin/bash : /root/.xinitrc: no such file or directory.

/usr/bin/xauth : file /var/run/slim.auth doesn't exist.

and that's it ... i really have no idea what should i do...
so please help
