I used virtualbox_bin from AUR. With VirtualBox 4 one should install ose _and_ extension pack to have usb support, special network features etc, if I interpret the changelog correctly.
So I installed virtualbox and guest additions from community repo, and extension pack from AUR.
When I try to load a module, I get the next message:
[root@arch ~]# modprobe vboxnetflt
FATAL: Error inserting vboxnetflt (/lib/modules/2.6.36-ARCH/misc/vboxnetflt.ko): Invalid module format
Also, when I tried to install guest additions from a running VM (Device menu / Install guest addition), it said it can't find the iso and will download from the internet.
I checked /lib/modules/2.6.36-ARCH/misc and it contains all modules.
Please advice. Thanks.

get rid of guest-additions. You don't need that!
pacman -R virtualbox-guest-additions virtualbox-guest-modules
pacman -S virtualbox-additions
i just noticed that the descriptions for virtualbox-guest-additions and virtualbox-additions are the same and this confuse people.
virtualbox-guest-additions is only for guest arch linux systems

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Much better.
However I may suggest: Guest additions CD image for VirtualBox guests.

short story...
Yesterday I wanted to add a windows xp vm in bridge mode.
However I was forgetting to load the vboxnetflt module. [damn!]
Anyway, I have encountered the same problem when I've realized that and the above solution worked great!
Thanks
