Can't Build packages yaourt /etc/makepkg.conf: line 45: --: command no
Linux newbie here: I just installed Arch on my Macbook Pro. I'm having a problem with yaourt building pkg's I'm getting the following error.
[root@kuser yaourt]# makepkg PKGBUILD
/etc/makepkg.conf: line 45: --: command not found
==> ERROR: An unknown error has occurred. Exiting...
[root@user yaourt]#
I'm not sure what I'm missing....

Post your makepkg.conf.... specifically there appears to be an issue on line 45...

HI Allen,
I figured it out... I was missing the "#" in front of '-- fakeroot: Allow building packages as a non-root user'. I did a test and everything seems to be working.
