@na12, Can you post your entire config including theme, icons and fonts and conkyrcs ?
I plan on installing Openbox on my gf's laptop and this would be a good start for her to get into Linux. I was contemplating between a DE and openbox, but a bit of pizzazz should make her happy with openbox and make me happy since I won't have to keep track of gnome and kde for her.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

This is my first crack at a tiled wm.
That wallpaper brings back a lot of childhood memories. Nice screen Jason.

Hey, I would love to know what GTK theme you use. I've yet to find a nice dark gtk theme that keeps a light background for things like the fileview, but this looks like it could be it.

It's been a while since I've posted here. To be honest, the bias toward super-minimalism and tiling wms has made me worry that my less minimalistic flashy desktop won't be appreciated here. I've been posting most of my shots at Ubuntu's forums, but their Community Cafe is disabled right now. So I figured I might as well post something up here.
It's Xfce 4.8. The upgrade killed xfwm4's ability to play nicely with maximus as well as xfce4-namebar-plugin, which rendered my desktop no longer netbook-friendly, so I took the opportunity to revamp my desktop. The panel is now awn-bzr + conky for a sane time/date display.
GTK: Flow
Xfwm4: A modified Shiki-Colors that I'll probably release as part of Flow
Icons: Faenza
Font: Ubuntu

Covergloobus: Suave

Man, that systray is sexy. I think I'm going to have to try to do something similar on mine.
