AWN Battery Applet Giving "No Batteries" Error

Hi All!

I'm running LXDE-openbox and have removed lxpanel from the autostart and am trying to use AWN exclusively. To that end, I have the notification area and volume icon working well, but the battery applet is giving me issues.

The battery applet indicates that I have no batteries. However, acpi is able to detect the battery, and the battery is also present in /proc/acpi as BAT0. A systray charge indicator applet called batti works just fine.

Any ideas?

Had the same problem, unfortunately the battery applet requires hal to work.
