Compiz + gnome crash on launch.

Hay guys.

I'm running gnome fine, when I click on the "compiz icon" to start up compiz, I get a black screen then its crashs telling me something about
resources temporarily unavailable.

I'v also tryu the dbus start up, witch made no dirfence

I'm running 64bit Arch with gnome.

I had this problem recently,  I could run gnome just fine.  I could also run compiz just fine.  I never did figure you exactly what the problem is, only that it was in the gnome settings in my home directory.  For a quick test you can create another user and see if gnome & compiz play nice.
