[SOLVED] Issues Installing yaourt

I am currently in the process of trying to get cairo dock to work with my openbox setup, but my first issue is that I can't get a hold of cairo dock because I can't get yaourt to work.

I am following these directions http://archlinux.fr/yaourt-en#get_it to try to get yaourt working properly, but when I try to makepkg for yaourt, it says the package-query dependency is not met. What I think may be the problem is that when I call makepkg on package-query, it will configure and then try to call make and make install, but during make and make install the system keeps saying there is nothing for make to do in each folder. It seems to me that this means it never actually is installed is the issue. Has anyone else had this problem? Or am I possibly just going about this poorly? Thanks.

Re: [SOLVED] Issues Installing yaourt

I have installed packages from AUR before with success, but for some reason, I had found a different way to go about it. I should have read that page more closely when I ran into this issue. Thanks for pointing that out, I really did feel I was doing something fairly dumb and just missing something obvious. It is fixed now though.

What was the problem? Also please add SOLVED to your first post's title.

Re: [SOLVED] Issues Installing yaourt

The issue was just that I wasn't following through with the steps of using AUR correctly. I was attempting to run the install on my on using the directions in INSTALL rather than calling pacman to do the work for me, which made everything work just fine.
