Hi,
I have tried to install Logitech's Quickcam Messenger (http://mag.cx/messenger/pics/mess.gif)
However all that is ever spit out at me by cheese (and anything else) is:
libv4l2: error turning on stream: Input/output error
I have tried installing the qc-usb-messenger package as well as googling and fiddling around but to no avail.
The /dev/video0 is present and my user is in the 'video' group.
Some details about my system:
uname -a
Linux Taiga 2.6.36-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Jan 8 14:15:27 CET 2011 x86_64 AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
pacman -Q qc-usb-messenger
qc-usb-messenger 1.8-13
lsusb
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 046d:08f0 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Messenger
Since I would like to use it in skype to keep in touch with my family who are on the other side of the world any help would be greatly appreciated!
Mike.

Does skype not see the device, must admit I have never used one under Arch
Did you find any help in wiki?

Take a look to the Linux USB project.
It will tell you if the chipset used in your webcam is supported and often some workaround if needed with some devices.
I used it once or twice in the past.
Hope this helps.
