Re: Problems with engage-cvs (rensel tur)

One problem solved. I just create the folder "engage" under ~/.e/e/applications/

But now,  engage need some background image and i can't find e17setroot tool to change this.

Re: Problems with engage-cvs (rensel tur)

Please, don't file bug reports about e17 CVS stuff.

1) If it's a real bug, It's probably been spotted and patched and comitted.
2) It's probably not implimented yet. E17 is VERY pre-alpha.

Re: Problems with engage-cvs (rensel tur)

Hi.

I want to use Engage but cant figure how to execute it... i already installed Rensels CVS version and deps... how do i launch it?

(This would be in E16.8 CVS version, in which i know its possible)

EDIT:
For some reason , it didnt install thats why i couldnt find the launcher (engage binary), i rerun  pacman -S engage-cvs and it asked to remove imlib2 and proceded to install all the cvs packages.

Now, im getting this:

[crow@archcrow ~]$ /opt/e17/bin/engage
/opt/e17/bin/engage: error while loading shared libraries: libcairo.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[crow@archcrow ~]$

Ive seen this error on this polish Arch forum/topic:
http://forum.archlinux.fc.pl/ftopic221.html

but i dont speak polish smile

Re: Problems with engage-cvs (rensel tur)

evas-cvs (not the one in the AUR) has been compiled with Cairo support. I thought it could work even without it so I just placed a warning in the .install file - thank you for having reported this. Next time I will put cairo as a dependency. Btw you should just need to install cairo (pacman -S cairo) to make engage work.

[EDIT] Anyway: DON'T USE THE TUR ANYMORE! USE MY NEW UNOFFICIAL REPO INSTEAD! http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=12358 for info!
