SOLVED - pacman not updating

Five days ago I moved / (incl. /var) from a small to a larger partition. Whenever I do pacman -Syu or packer -Syu I am told that everything is up to date, although vim, multiliibs, openssh and many more packages have been updated since.

I tried pacman -Scc followed by an Syy but it persists that all the packages are updated.

Any clues?

Is mirrorlist up to date?, pacman may not be up to date either [worth checking]

Not quite sure which one you mean. I commented the testing repo out but core, extra, community and multilib are all uncommented (at least the Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
line).

Thanks to both of you for checking this. I generated a new mirrorlist using reflector but find that I haven't defined an architecture - is this done in pacman.conf and if so, how? If the wiki has info on this it has escaped me...

EDIT:

Ah! There is a man page for pacman.conf!!! No wiki article, but a man page. I think all is well now...

Pacman automatically detects your architecture.

Only if

Architecture = auto

is in pacman.conf it appears.
