Help on Cdparanoia and Rubyripper error

Hi,
My favorite ripper is ruby ripper. I just got my new cd rom drive and I have been having troubles getting it to work properly.

The problem is either with my configuration or with cdparanoia. Rrip tells me that cdparanoia isn't outputting wave files. Sure enough, running the cdp command generated by rrip I get the following error:

error parsing span argument

Does anybody know what this means? I have tried the recommended offset as well as an offset of zero. Only negative spans produces an error. I have never experienced this error before. . .

I have been able to get EAC up and running using wine and I experience no problem ripping files with it, but I'd rather be using rrip.

(I am not interested in switching to abcde.)

Thanks,
Rasmus

Re: Help on Cdparanoia and Rubyripper error

Some more info:
The error happens when the second part of the span is negative, e.g.:

cdparanoia [.130170]-[.-130321] -d /dev/cdrom -O 102 "/home/rasmus/music/Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young/temp_sr0/track9_1.wav" 2>&1

The problem is not present when I disable advance toc analysis, i.e. cdrado. . .
