For quite a long time now, I have used pacman to update and install through my school's proxy server with cntlm. However, suddenly i have begun receiving this message.
#sudo pacman -Syu

I have tried to solve this by checking that cntlm and pacman are both set up OK, and changing the mirrors I use, but I keep going round in circles.

Is pacman up to date?

Did you look at the URL you were getting redirected too? Clearly you have a really screwed up proxy server and/or client config that is sending you to non-existent URLs and not changing the domain correctly.

My pacman is currently in version 3.4.1, but I am having trouble updating it, not least because it doesn't work. However, what I really don't get is that it was working fine for ages, then suddenlystopped working. My friend, who also runs Arch is not having the same problems though, so I really don't know what the problem is.
I assume that the problem is at my end, most likely within cntlm

Could be a combination of things mirrors and certainly now pacman is out of date
Fire up Arch live cd and get in and repair the problem
