knotify not working [kde 4.6] [Solved]

just updated to the new kde 4.6 and knotify doesnt work at all. everytime an event that would show up happens I get a crash message. example: unplugging power from laptop.

anyone else have this problem?
any ideas on how to fix?

tried googling but not coming up with anything.

will look into it real quick and post back.

edit: seems I needed to redo everything since I deleted my kd4 dir when I updated to make sure there wouldnt be any conflicts
so the prob was gstreamer.
