ata5: softreset failed (device not ready)

hi all!
i installed openSuse on another partition this morning and after i came back and tried to reboot, the screen turns black and the hardrive spins down.
i managed to boot my computer from another hd with ubuntu on it. the system itself seems to be ok because i couldn't find any suspicious error messages.
after plugging in my 'corrupted' hd the error messages log shows that the softreset failed several times. whether the bios, linux nor the win7 install dvd can find or erase the hd!

my data hd and dvd burner, both connected via sata, can be used without problems.

whats to do? i'm kinda clueless now
