No Jack Sense with Pulseaudio

Hello!
I'm using Arch x86_64 with KDE 4.6 on an Acer Aspire 5536g. Audio works perfectly fine without Pulseaudio, but since I've started using a piece of software that requires it (Guitar Pro 6) I really had to get it working.

I've installed pulseaudio and pulseaudio-alsa, started Pulse and everything worked great until a restart. Since then I have audio through both my headphones and speakers, unless I configure Phonon to use one of them.

I've tried autostarting pulseaudio with

pulseaudio --start

instead of pulseaudio's KDE default starting scripts, but problem persisted.

Setting

options snd-hda-intel model=acer

for Alsa in /etc/modprobe.d/sound.conf resulted in no sound at all.

Any tips appreciated!

I recall there's no 'standard' way to handle jack-sensing in alsa, hence PA has problems with some chips. You would be able to get better (more expert) help by going to #pulseaudio or preferably to their mailing list.
