fan control on nforce4

hi to all,

i want to control my cpu fan , i followed archwiki lm_sensors and fancontrol but without good results.....

i get temps, fan speed, voltages with sensors but i can't control fan:
if i launch pwmconfig i get: you haven't any PWM controller.....

but in windows i could control fan through speedfan or smart ITE, so the way exists.....

so there is any other way to control fan ?
someone with this mobo has got success ?, tips, tricks .....

PS: i've an asus a8n-e with nforce4 chipset (and sensors says) with ITE IT8712F
PS2: on the web i read that there is a problem with the it87 module

thanks

Re: fan control on nforce4

A good pasive northebridge cooler should do the trick wink

Other than that I think there is no way you could control the fan (hardware restrictions on most motherboards).
