ntfs-3g with integrated FUSE support

Hi, I just recompiled ntfs-3g with integratednFUSE support to be able to mount ntfs partitions as a regular user (now also dolphin can mount ntfs partitions). But then came a question: integrated FUSE support is very nice for features, but if the package maintainer disabled it by default there must be a very good reason... So I was wondering if anyone can explain me why this should not be enabled by default in Arch, and maybe give me some good reference to understand why this could be harmful, unsecure or whatever.
Many thanks.

Re: ntfs-3g with integrated FUSE support

The best way would be to ask the maintainer of the arch package. I can only say that i have had compiled for the same reason as you and use it without any problem. But this is not really a wonder because the default from the ntfs-3g developer (and of the opensuse package at example) is to use the internal fuse.
