hello everyone,
In trying to speed up boot (which worked quite fine until I made a dumb mistake - down to ~20 seconds), I inadvertently made modules=no in /etc/rc.conf. I should not have done and am now not able to boot. After finishing booting the various components I am simply turned to a black screen instead of SliM. Is there anyway for me to enter a terminal to edit the file (ctrl alt f1 doesn't work). The fallback does the same thing, although I am briefly shown the login in my terminal before the screen flickers and goes black. Thanks for any help.

boot with the install cd, mount your disk and edit the file

Thank you for the response. I am sure it would have worked but even easier solution was just to boot into single user mode (edit grub at boot and add 1 to end of kernel line) and then edit file. Back and running
