Changing screen res of Arch

Hey Arch Forums, absolute n00b here.  I installed grub and put it so that my screen res on arch was 1024x768.  When i installed gnome onto it, the res went down to i think 800x600.  So how do i fix this?  I am really sorry for asking this question, i know it sounds really bad, but i can't find an answer

If it helps i'm running arch through virtualbox, and running this on a x64 system

Re: Changing screen res of Arch

Are you able to specify a resolution to virtualbox itself? If not, then try finding the GNOME resolution switcher. I don't use GNOME but I know that it should have that built-in.

If all else fails, try `xrandr -s 1024x768`

Obviously, you'll need xrandr for it to work.

Install the guest-additions and it will work as expected
