KDE 4.6 + pulseaudio, kmix problem

I recently installed pulseaudio, alsa remained installed, I just removed from rc.conf, but I have a problem with kmix. When restart system after installed pulseaudio kmix setup is good and looks like this:

kmixpulse.jpg

,but after that, kmix loses everything:

kmixpulse2.jpg

So i ask, does someone knows what is problem? Where is mistake? Does somebody knows any tip about pulseaudio and KDE to share with me? smile

Re: KDE 4.6 + pulseaudio, kmix problem

It used to happen to me too, but only in Betas/RCs, not in the 4.6 final.
Try to delete all kmix related config files, maybe switch phonon backend, and see if it happens again.

I don't think you should remove it from rc.conf. What that script does is just load at boot and save at shutdown the configuration of the hardware mixers. It doesn't affect Pulseaudio in any way.

Satisfied users don't rant, so you'll never know how many of us there are.

i already tried deleting the config files...
btw this bug only appears with pulseaudio (for me)

the problem is the config file which is created by kmix...
