Scanner MFC-5890CN not detected in sane

I bought a multifunction printer Brother MFC-5890CN and the scanner is not detected. I have connected the printer by wired network
After installing the drivers from Brother and configured it, the printer don't have it problem, and correctly print, but not the scanner

The output that I have with brscan-skey -l:

MFC5890CN: brother3: net1; dev0: 192.168.1.5 Active

with scanimage-L

No Scanners Were Identified. If You Were Expecting Something Different,
That check the scanner is plugged in, Turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if Appropriate). Please read the documentation
Which Came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).

Any help is welcome

Greetings

Re: Scanner MFC-5890CN not detected in sane

AFAIK most Brother MFC's do not work with sane, thus scanimage will not work. You need to use the Brother scanning utility. So you make sure you have installed brscan2 and brscan-skey properly and set them up as per the Brother website. You then run brscan-skey as root, go to your printer, do a Scan to File and it will then scan and you will find the scanned image in your ~/brscan directory.
