Ugh, people like that? Main activity I do is reading text on screen, whatever 3D is added to that makes it only harder or is just distracting.

Re: holy luminocity!

I agree for the most part. I'm perfectly happy with my current openbox3 system.

I agree too, it's not real functional, but it's still cool to look at (think paris hilton)

At least someone has good taste.  8)

I said it before, and I'll say it again: this is a neat toy, but the stuff that E17 is doing makes it look like child's play. If you want to be amazed, find every movie you can of the E17 interface....

Re: holy luminocity!

Some things, Flash is useful for. For everything else, there's the Flashkiller plugin. wink

(Yeah, it is stupid that so many animations on the web use a proprietary format. But there isn't much else to use AFAIK... Animated GIFs aren't interactive, Java applets are slow as hell on Windows and legacy MacOS versions, etc.)

It looks sort of cool despite the animation's hideous quality... But yeah, it's not something I'd want to use regularly.

Re: holy luminocity!

the thing flash has going for it:
open format for writing. You can use vnc_to_swf to generate a flash animation from a vnc session. This makes it easy to create demos of things, along with the fact that the resultant file is pretty darn small compared to an mpeg or avi of the same thing..

still...i feel your pain. Overall I don't like flash either..
