Hi, I have enabled LIRC IR remote support for VLC and it all works well, all buttons do what they should. However the desktop and other programs like Mplayer, Banshee etc now don't have generic LIRC support like mute etc. Ant suggestions to trace the config files etc to ensure they are set up right. How do I enable the generic desktop actions in ~/.lirdrd and /etc/lircd.conf (and what other files may be required).
