[solved] the reverse of "pacman --asexplicit"

--asexplicit
           Install packages explicitly; in other words, fake their install reason to be explicitly installed. This is useful if you want to mark a dependency
           as explicitly installed so it will not be removed by the --recursive remove operation.

Can I reset the flag "asexplicit"? This is needed for AUR packages. E.g. I install A from AUR, but it requires B from AUR. I install B by hand, so it is marked "asexplicit". But I do not need B per se.

Please read man pacman again. I am amazed that you were able to quote the above excerpt from it without reading the section immediately above it.
