Hi,
latest libevent upgrade (libevent-1.4.14b-2 --> libevent-2.0.10-1) breaks Firefox (at least for x86_64). Downgrading sorts the problem.
Edit: actually problem maybe lies with firefox ..... looking for older version?

It's xulrunner that depends on libevent, and it was rebuilt against the 2.0.10 release. Either you didn't -Syu or your chosen mirror is out of date.

is simple. if you don't have a xulrunner 1.9.2.13-4 is your problem.
pacman -Qs xulrunner
pacman -Qs firefox
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Well actually I did upgrade my whole system. I apologise for reporting an apparent problem; I shall not bother again.

Please read my post again - I gave you two possibilities.
jelly1 - you can't assume he didn't run a full upgrade. An unsynced or partially synced mirror could also produce the same result.
