SOLVED Can't perform normal login after failed VirtualBox installation

I tried to get VirtualBox setup yesterday, to which I was unable to do so.  An unfortunate side effect of this was that I can no longer boot up into anything but the terminal since, even after uninstalling VirtualBox and its additions, I get the following error message right before I get thrown to the terminal:

Starting Virtual Box Guest Additions    [FAIL]

What do I have to edit to get rid of this attempted load?

** Update
After uninstalling / reinstalling everything I had the same problem.  I then ran the VboxGuestAdditions uninstall shell script.  I was then able to login as normal, where as the first time I removed the VBGuestAdditions w/ pacman.  After starting virtual box again it was then able to boot up the virtual OS from the CD.  I don't know the exact reason it is working now, but it is working.
