Wireless not connecting properly/at all

I have an atheros pci card, connecting to an AP with WPA.

I started with

> wpa_passphrase Fluffy "password" > /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

and then connected with

> wpa_supplicant -b -Dwext -i wlan0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

dhcpcd doesn't return any errors, and iwconfig returns

wlan0

Re: Wireless not connecting properly/at all

Show is the output of "ifconfig", "dmesg | grep -i wlan0", "lspci | grep -i atheros" and "lsmod".
