Well hello, this is my first post in the official forum, and well, it's a shame that it is because of a problem...
I have a HP Officejet 4355 All-In-One printer, that doesn't get detected, I tried following the wiki (with no changes), the troubleshooting solutions doesn't work either, I have tried all I read on the forum, installed foo2zjs, cups-usblp, foomatic-db-foo2zjs, restarted the cups daemon several times, changed udev rules and nothing...
When the printer is plugged, this is what i get:
dmesg | grep usb
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 7
usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8
usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 9
usb 3-1: device not accepting address 9, error -71
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 10
Just for the record: I used to have another arch install, my hard disk got damaged and have to reinstall, that install could detect the printer without unloading/blacklisting usblp, so i don't know what doesn't work, it used to work just fine without really changing anything...
It can be a hardware problem, i will test the printer in a windows machine...
Hope someone can help
PS: Sorry for the bad english

Yeah, even hp-toolbox doesn't detect the printer
