Cursor movement is slow when viewing videos on Youtube within Firefox

I am using Firefox 3.6.13 and when I play a video on http://www.youtube.com my cursor (Xorg) moves very slowly. It responds to mouse movement very slowly. If I move to another workspace the behaviour is the same (slow, choppy cursor movement). If I close youtube my cursor moves around the screen as normal.

I have played other Flash videos on websites such as http://www.metacafe.com and the same behaviour does not occur.

Any ideas?

Try either options for SW cursor (on or off) in device options at xorg.conf

I added the option. Didn't fix the problem.

To confirm this is not a hardware related problem I played youtube videos on Windows and there were no problems.

It's my X cursor which is slow, by the way.
