Wiimote doesn't work in Dolphin-emu

when I first set up the wiimote and dolphin, things worked fine... I posted about it in another thread where I asked about proper motion with the wiimote and the sensor bar.  But for the last few months, I have not been able to get the emulator to recognize the wiimote.  It pairs just fine with cwiid, I get mouse movement and button control with wminput acc_ptr -w, but it doesn't do ANYTHING in dolphin-emu... how do I troubleshoot this?
