Hi,
I would like to use STEP (physics simulator) in gnome.
I've installed kdeedu-step
and when i use the following command
step
I get the following error:
---------------------------------
step: error while loading shared libraries: libcln.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
What does this mean?

Seems step needs a rebuild. On my machine
$ ls -l /usr/lib/libcln.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 Feb 1 09:35 /usr/lib/libcln.so -> libcln.so.6.0.1

$ ls -l /usr/lib/libcln.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 Feb 1 15:38 /usr/lib/libcln.so -> libcln.so.6.0.1
But what do I have to do?
pacman -S kdeedu-step
doesn't help me.
Or do you mean something else with 'rebuild'?

Edit: I misread the error message. Deleted.

Same error here.
I have an up-to-date system.
$ ls -l /usr/lib/libcln*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7,1M feb 1 11:35 /usr/lib/libcln.a
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 feb 1 11:35 /usr/lib/libcln.so -> libcln.so.6.0.1
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 feb 1 11:35 /usr/lib/libcln.so.6 -> libcln.so.6.0.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1,6M feb 1 11:35 /usr/lib/libcln.so.6.0.1
I must add, I use KDE4. I have most packages installed, except for marble, the webdev's and the sdk's.
Also: linking /usr/lib/libcln.so.6.0.1 to "libcln.so.5" brings:
step: symbol lookup error: step: undefined symbol: cl_module__cl_random_def__globalctors
