BSD libc for Linux?

Hi all

I am not trying to start a flamewar or something, but has anyone ported a full BSD libc to Linux? or, alternatively, is there an ongoing effort to do so? (i guess bionic might give a good reference material). There seems to be enough people out there with an anti-glibc sentiment [0].

I have found some efforts [1], but they are quite old and appart from bionic [2] from Android, which is a limited and minimalistic libc from NetBSD, I have not really found anything like it. The muscl libc [3] comparison [4] does however mention linux-ported BSD libc's.

The reason I am currently looking for one was that I have been trying to help out with building of a program for openBSD [5], but there seems to be some issues with libbsd [6].
