Now ubuntuone-client available in [ayatana] repo: http://ayatana.info/. You have to install only ubuntuone-client package, and it's dependences. Currently online file storage supported only, other functions (sync contact and notes) require additional packages, which not available yet in Arch Linux.

Update on the Ayatana repo:
they don't include ubuntuone-client anymore.
I guess we'll have to wait on this one. new version?
ubuntuone free storage is 5 GB vs. Dropbox free storage of 2 GB

Thanks for update. That explains a lot of things.

I am successful at making ubuntuone-client work. My Arch is Gnome 3 + nautilus. Posted how I did it in my blog. http://donatoroque.posterous.com/ubuntu … arch-linux

Do you plan to create an article in the wiki?

I did the above and it doesn't work for me unfortunately. I've rather cranked up the difficulty by using both ArchLinux and KDE. Managing things with u1sdtool is fine for me. But unfortantely, there doesn't seem to be a way to supply credientials. Running
u1sdtool -c
just hangs for a second or so then exits without an error message. From what I understand it should launch a window asking me for login information at this point. I'm assuming it does for everyone else... both -client and -storage-protocol are version 2.0.0-1.
Anyone have an idea?
Cheers!

Now I added back ubuntuone-client to the [ayatana] repo: http://ayatana.info/ (i686 only). I recommend install the following packages (and it's dependencies):
# pacman -S ubuntuone-client-gnome ubuntuone-control-panel
ubuntuone-control-panel is the configuration GUI for Ubuntu One: you could register or log in, and manage shared folders and devices.
ubuntuone-client-gnome is the GNOME integration pack: it contains a Nautilus extension and provides notifications about changes in Ubuntu One storage.
PKGBUILDs are available here: https://github.com/City-busz/Arch-Linux … /ubuntuone
