Thunar Columns

I've gone looking for myself, so I'm expecting no for this first question, but firstly, is there an extension for thunar that allows me to show MP3 tags (such as artist, albums) in the columns in Thunar?

Secondly, if I was to go about writing an extension for Thunar myself, would it be possible to control the columns from the extension? I've had a quick look at the reference for the 'XFCE extensible framework', but I'm not sure if you can control the columns from an extension.
