[SOLVED] Can't use CTRL+F shortcut on applications.

Since i updated my desktop to KDE 4.6, i can't use the Ctrl+F shortcut of all the applications i use.
When i press Ctrl+F, a console window appears. But its not konsole. It looks like some default X.org console or something.
What can i do? I really need to use that shortcut.
Really annoying.

Thanks in advance!

Did you set any global shortcut in systemsettings / Global Keyboard Shortcuts?

Re: [SOLVED] Can't use CTRL+F shortcut on applications.

I didn't set nothing. I just want to use the default shortcut for search in almost all applications but i can't because of this.
The console window doesn't look like a QT or GTK application. I pretty sure that is some X.org default window.
Thanks.

Now i remember! I installed something to work with the mouse buttons on dolphin from the wiki.
Commenting some lines solve the problem.

# set directly keycode (here control + f with my keyboard)
 #"xterm"
 #c:41 + m:0x4

 # specify a mouse button
 #"xterm"
 #control + b:2

Problem solved!

Re: [SOLVED] Can't use CTRL+F shortcut on applications.

I had something similar. Are you using .xbindkeysrc to use back/forward buttons in Dolphin and did you copy the directions from the Wiki? Wiki Link

If so you will need to comment out the following lines in /home/yourusername/.xbindkeysrc

# set directly keycode (here control + f with my keyboard)
"xterm"
c:41 + m:0x4

# specify a mouse button
"xterm"
control + b:2

Hope this helps.

I see you figured it out yourself. Good one!
