I have installed archlinux using the https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GRUB2 guide for efi grub2. The problem is that, after loading all the daemons, at the login prompt, I have no keyboard. How can I load it?

try by appending
acpi=force
in grub.cfg

i had acpi=off instead before.
with acpi=force, it freezes after "waiting for udev uevents to be processed" and a black rectangle is drawn on top of the screen, over a part of the arch linux graphic.

yes, except for installing grub2-efi (as grub would freeze) and using acpi=off instead acpi=force which would too freeze the system.
My macbook is 5,2.

Hello,
I have a similar problem with a MacBook Pro 5,1
I have used archboot 2011.08-2 in order to install Arch Linux (both kernels seem to work by appending nouveau.modeset=0).
Installation completed fine and I am successfully using the EFI version of Grub 2, I can use my keyboard to select OS and kernel. However, once Arch Linux boots and I am at the login, my keyboard does not respond to anything at all.
I have tried the parameters which are posted at the wiki:
arch noapic irqpoll acpi=force
but unfortunately they didn't work.
Any more ideas? I don't have an external keyboard where I am currently, but I will try later to recompile the kernel in case something is fixed.

I had a pretty stupid problem that presented itself like this... I used the archboot installer, which has an apple console kemap, and so that was set in rc.conf. However, this keymap didn't exist in the installed system, ergo no keyboard. That was solved by booting the live disc and changing the keymap to a sensible (read: actually exists) one.
