Wiki, fonts and "$ fc-cache -vf"

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fonts
As wiki says, you should do

fc-cache -vf

as regular user. But it gives some errors when not root. Is it a mistake?

I am able to run this command without issue. Please include the error messages in your posts if you expect help.

Re: Wiki, fonts and "$ fc-cache -vf"

When it's not root it says:
"/var/cache/fontconfig: not cleaning unwritable cache directory"

When root, it does:
"/var/cache/fontconfig: cleaning cache directory"

Unlike several days ago, this time I didn't have any errors. However, http://fluxbox-wiki.org/index.php?title=Install_fonts contains info about this:

6. Regenerate font cache (as root)

fc-cache -fv
