[Suggestion] Galeon 1.3.20

There's a new version of Galeon out. It would be nice to have it in the repo, since it's generally considered a better layed-out browser than Epiphany. This isn't a big deal though, since it isn't very big, being a Mozilla frontend... I don't think it would take long to compile.

Re: [Suggestion] Galeon 1.3.20

We have both galeon and mozilla in the repositories. The reason why we haven't updated yet is because we want to kick out mozilla as the big beast that we compile against and replace it by firefox.

Re: [Suggestion] Galeon 1.3.20

I personally use firefox as my main web browser but I've never understood why people allways disrespect Mozilla like that.

Maybe I just interpreted your post wrong but maybe you can clear up WHY you would want to "kick out" mozilla?

Re: [Suggestion] Galeon 1.3.20

There have been long outstanding plans to replace mozilla with firefox as embedding component because firefox is way smaller than mozilla. Also, since many people are using firefox, having mozilla installed too because epiphany, galeon or yelp wants it, would be stupid.

The mozilla people won't release 1.8 final, so development in mozilla has been stalled. Development on Firefox goes on, and since firefox is usable as embedding components with a little bit patching, this switch will be made in the near future.

Mozilla will stay in the repositories, but not as embedding component.
