So I just got a little problem, I assume it has something to do with bad localization in GNOME(Since I only have gnome-menus as-provided, GNOME by default is in spanish) My xdg menu will only display in spanish and I'm not sure how to fix this other than installing GNOME all together.
I would think the python method would suit my needs and be the fastest means of generating xdg-menus. But I tried it and it would only display the menu widget with nothing in it:
<menu execute="python ~/john/.config/openbox/scripts/xdg-menu" id="root-menu" label="Applications"/>
I used the latest py file from here.
tl;dr: Yo hablo espanol, pero yo prefiero ingles.
EDIT: I've found the solution to the locale problem, but before making haste I would like to try the python script first if anyone can help me.
EDIT: I've decided to use obmenugen from the AUR, works like a charm.
